L.W.Wedd & Son have a 25,000 square foot production facility, housing some of the most advanced machinery available today for timber preparation, moulding, bonding, sizing, postforming and veneering.

Working in hardwood, softwood and plastic laminate, it is our policy to use recycled materials and where possible, to purchase hardwoods from properly managed forests.

Few joinery firms can offer the range of production and fabrication facilities available from L.W. Wedd & Son, where there are three main areas of work - joinery, laminating and postforming. All projects are designed with quality in mind and are built to last while remaining cost effective.

Recent projects have included extensive work in the computer industry, major banks, building societies, airport authorities, rail networks, postal services, hospitals and prestigious residential developments in London’s Regent Park.

The company has been involved with the use of plastic laminate since its introduction, and were one of the first in Britain to experiment with post-forming. Today, hot and cold presses, CNC panel sizing, PVA edge banding, static and continuous postformers mean that the company can produce any design using standard, postforming and solid grade laminates.

The majority of our workforce has been with us for many years, and their skills have played a major part in sustaining both quality and steady growth. The supply of skilled personnel has also been guarantedd by the company’s commitment to training.

Prompt and careful delivery has also been developed as an important element of customer service; We have our own delivery vehicles to ensure that all goods arrive in first class condition.
